The day Andrew Brand traded in his rugby boots for a desk and a Mac proved to be a profoundly influential day for Berry Bush. The day he decided to trade in his life, for a promotion to Creative Director of their retail division proved to be one of the most influential for blue chip clients like Checkers, Ackermans and Cell C to name but a few. The day he decided to trade in his position of Creative Director for that of Business Unit Director for the retail division of BBDO proved to be the first time clients experienced the value of having someone with such a wealth of creative knowledge also leading the marketing and strategic sides to new heights. And the day he decided to trade in everything he knew about the way advertising works, for the way he knew advertising should work, marked the birth of ninety9cents. And, so far so good.
